A life poem spanning thousands of years: a look back and a vision on the road of anti-aging
Anti-aging of human being is an epic poem engraved with wisdom and courage. The Ebers Papyrus (1550 BC) in ancient Egypt recorded the earliest anti-aging herbal formula, and ancient Greek philosophers proposed the theoretical prototype of "dietary moderation can prolong life" in the 4th century BC, turning aging from oracle to rational thinking. In Eastern civilization, the “Huangdi Neijing” advocates "preventive treatment of disease", and although Taoist alchemy is absurd, it lays the groundwork for chemical therapy in later generations. Zhao Mengfu of the Yuan Dynasty mocked his old age in a poem: "I always borrow a cane to support my aging, and I look for a toothpick before eating meat", which fully expresses the helplessness and open-mindedness of aging.
Modern anti-aging science began in the 1930s, and the experiment of “Diet-restricted Life Extension” first proved that aging is plastic. When Hayflick revealed the limit of cell division in 1961 and telomerase lighted up the code at the end of chromosomes in 1990, the blade of science finally pierced the fog of aging. After the advent of the gene era, the discovery of longevity genes such as age-1 and daf-2 in nematode research (1983-1993) overturned the perception that "aging is irreversible" and proved that a single gene can significantly extend life. In 2022, Senolytics therapy entered the critical period of clinical transformation. The first clinical trial confirmed that the removal of senescent cells can significantly improve pulmonary fibrosis; CRISPR technology broke through the bottleneck of gene delivery; and single-base editing successfully repaired the age-related macular degeneration gene, anti-aging has gone from the bench study to clinic, and from theory to hope.
Today, precision medicine is at the forefront of anti-aging: CAR-T cells target aging biomarkers, and one injection can reverse the metabolic decline of mice; the epigenetic clock is reprogrammed, and humans have achieved the "reversal" of physiological age for the first time. Chinese scientists use the BAZ2B gene to protect cognitive ability, Japanese teams use quantum computing to optimize the NAD+ metabolic chain, and global collaboration is weaving an anti-aging network covering genes, cells, and systems.

21st Century: Precision intervention and multi-dimensional breakthroughs, anti-aging research has entered the "targeted era":
1.1.Clearing senescent cells: In 2016, Senolytics therapy reversed animal aging diseases by clearing "zombie cells"; in 2024, CAR-T cell therapy targeted uPAR protein, and a single injection could improve the metabolism and mobility of elderly mice.
2.Gene and epigenetic regulation: CRISPR technology can accurately edit aging-related gene clusters, and “Epigenetic Clock Reversal” technology can reverse the physiological age of a 65-year-old individual to 50 years old.
3.Stem cells and regenerative medicine: Intravenous injection of mesenchymal stem cells can extend the lifespan of animals by 20%. Clinical trials have shown that it can significantly improve inflammation and physical fitness in elderly patients.
4.Chinese scientists have also made outstanding contributions: Cai Shiqing's team discovered that the BAZ2B gene delays cognitive decline by regulating mitochondrial function, providing a new target for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

Future vision: Anti-aging technology will boom in 2025 with the hope of leaping over the “cliff-like aging”.
1.Multi-target synergy: As like the “Longevity Code” series in the bioscience, integration of gene editing with the technologies of dynamic biomarker tracking and epigenetic reversal will achieve a breakthrough “minus 6~8 years in physiological age”.
2.Global collaboration: The Heber Youth Project builds an integrated anti-aging research platform with the goal of maintaining the physiological state of a 70-year-old individual at the level of a 40-year-old.
3.Healthy life span revolution: Transforming the concept of "extending survival" into "shortening the illness period" through preventive medicine and digital therapy, and the retirement life into the starting point of the "second life".
In the next decade, aging may lose the shackles of "inevitability". Multi-target drugs will work together to fight "cliff-like aging", regenerative medicine will reshape the vitality of organs, and AI and biomarkers will build a personalized anti-aging blueprint. We will no longer pursue the illusory immortality but forge a quality life of a hundred years --- " Never say too late, the sky is still full of rosy clouds". Let's climb rocks at the age of 80, enjoy life at the age of 90, and being capable of smiling at the world at the age of 100.
